
The Aberdeen Police Department is investigating a string of burglaries and thefts in town.
Guns, vehicles and property have been stolen, according to a news release from police. The crimes are mostly within:
- An area bordered by 11th Avenue Southeast on the south, South First Street on the west, Sixth Avenue Southeast on the north and South LLoyd Street on the east near St. Paul’s Lutheran Church.
- And an area bordered by 12th Avenue Northeast on the south, North Penn Street on the west, 15th Avenue Northeast on the north and North Dakota Street on the east near Roncalli High School.
Residents who live in those areas are asked to check security cameras to see if there’s video evidence of crimes and to check for missing property.

Thefts can be reported to the Brown County Communications Center at 605-626-7911.
Police encourage residents to lock vehicles, homes and other buildings and discourage people from keeping valuables, especially guns, in vehicles, per the release.
