Authorities are seeking information on an Aberdeen woman who has gone missing.
Kathleen “Kathy” Andersen is listed on the South Dakota’s Missing Persons Clearinghouse. She has been missing since Dec. 15, according to the list.
People on the list have not necessarily been abducted. They could have left home on their own.

That appears to be the case with Andersen, said Brown County Sheriff Dave Lunzman. Authorities want to speak to her to make sure she’s OK, he said. If she is and she wants to continue her journey, she will be allowed to. Her being listed as missing is a matter of checking on her safety, he said.
Andersen was last spotted on video on Dec. 16 near Platte City, Mo., Lunzman said. But law enforcement hasn’t visited with her to be able to check on her welfare since she left, he said.
Out-of-state agencies helping with search for missing woman
Out-of-state agencies are helping in the search for Andersen, Lunzman said. Anybody who has information about her whereabouts should call the sheriff’s office at 605-626-7100.
According to a Facebook post made by a family member seeking help in finding Andersen, she left Aberdeen about 8:30 a.m. Dec. 15. She is 5-foot-5 and 110 pounds with dark hair and was wearing blue jeans, a camouflage jacket and a black stocking cap. The person believes Andersen is trying to make her way to Florida.
