Mike Bockorny, president and CEO of the Aberdeen Development Corp., has accepted a new job.
Bockorny has led the development corporation for a decade and will leave his post at the end of the year.

Tim Hanigan, who has served as chairman of the Aberdeen Development Corp. Board of Directors, will become interim CEO in October. Hanigan is senior operations manager for Banner Engineering, which earlier this year announced plans to close its Aberdeen plant.

Bockorny, who has also served as chairman of the board for the Economic Development Professionals Association of South Dakota for the past couple years, said he will be taking over as president and CEO of that group and plans to set up his office in Aberdeen.
Kristi Bockorny was recently named dean of the Northern State University School of Business. She is married to Mike Bockorny.
