BROWN COUNTY COMMISSION

NOVEMBER 8, 2024 – CANVASS OF NOVEMBER 5, 2024 GENERAL ELECTION

Brown County Commissioners Chairman Duane Sutton, Vice-Chairman Doug Fjeldheim, Mike Gage, Mike Wiese and Drew Dennert convened for the purpose of canvassing the November 5, 2024 General Election, as authorized by SDCL 12-20-36 at 2:00 p.m. on November 8, 2024 in the Commissioner’s Chambers, Courthouse Annex, Brown County, SD.  Pledge was led by Commissioner Sutton.

Moved by Commissioner Wiese seconded by Dennert to approve the Official Canvass, as follows:

All members present voting aye. Motion carried.

POST-ELECTION DRAW: Chairman Sutton drew VC-4 – Columbia, which had 243 ballots cast. Commissioner Gage drew for the  Statewide race which will be the Presidential Race. Commissioner Dennert picked for any other race which will be the US Representative. The Post Election Audit will be on Thursday, November 14, 2024 at 5:00 p.m.

ADJOURNMENT: Moved by Commissioner Wiese, seconded Fjeldheim by to adjourn the Canvass Meeting for the November 5, 2024 General Election.  All members present voting aye.  Motion carried.
