APRIL 21, 2026 MINUTES
Meeting called to order by Chairman Sutton at 1:00 P.M. in the Commission Chambers, Courthouse Annex, Brown County, SD. Present were Commissioners Dinger, Gage and Sutton, Aberdeen School Board Member Darin Beckius, Aberdeen City Mayor Travis Schaunaman, Director of Equalization, Gene Loeschke and Appraisers Russell Metz, Joe Kraft and Sarah Swenson.
CONTESTED APPEALS: Moved by Mayor Schaunaman, seconded by Commissioner Dinger to approve the Director of Equalization recommendation as follows:
- For KRB Properties, LLC of LT 1 D&K 1ST SD (LI1-2 Lauzens B 40 West ABDN) to leave the assessed value at $53,215.
- For KRB Properties, LLC of LT 1 K&R Braun 1ST CONS ADD (BK 31 Hagerty & Lloyd Addition) to leave the assessed value at $149,971.
All members present voting aye. Motion carried.
Moved by Commissioner Dinger, seconded by Commissioner Gage for Kevin Braun of LT 1 Breckenridge 1ST Consolidation Addition (L24 B4 Gorders 4th) to leave the assessed value at $237,808. All members present voting aye. Motion carried.
Moved by Commissioner Gage, seconded by Aberdeen School Board Member Beckius for Aaron & Kathryn Darling of Heller Addition (L12 B4 Gorder 4th) to leave the assessed value at $172,357. All members present voting aye. Motion carried.
RECESS: The Consolidated Board of Equalization recessed until 1:00 p.m. on April 28, 2026.
