AN ORDINANCE AMENDING TITLE 5 OF THE SECOND REVISION
BROWN COUNTY ORDINANCES – SUBDIVISION REGULATIONS
Notice is hereby given that Ordinance #330; to consider amending Title 5, Subdivision Regulations was duly adopted by the Board of Brown County Commissioners on the 28th day of July 2026 and will become effective on the 25th day of August 2026.
BE IT ORDAINED by the Brown County Commission, Brown County, South Dakota, that the Petition to Amend is as follows:
TITLE 5 SUBDIVISION REGULATIONS
CHAPTER 5.01 GENERAL PROVISIONS
5.0102 Jurisdiction. These regulations shall apply within the unincorporated areas of Brown County, South Dakota, and including the incorporated municipalities of Claremont, Columbia, Verdon and Stratford yet excluding and including areas of joint jurisdiction with Frederick (1/2 mile outside city limit boundary line), Groton (1 mile outside city limit boundary line), and Hecla (1 mile outside city limit boundary line) and Warner (1 ½ mile). (Ordinance 087 amendment)
BE IT FURTHER ORDAINED by the Brown County Commission, Brown County, South Dakota that the zoning official for the County of Brown is hereby authorized to change the official zoning map for Brown County to reflect this Ordinance.
