AN ORDINANCE AMENDING TITLE 4, SECOND REVISION
BROWN COUNTY ORDINANCES AS AMENDED
TO REZONE CERTAIN DESCRIBED PROPERTY
Notice is hereby given that Ordinance #302, an Ordinance Entitled For A New Wind Energy Systems (WES) Ordinance, the following Amendments and Replacement to portions of Title 4 Zoning Ordinances of Brown County, South Dakota – amending Chapter 4.01, “Definitions”; Chapter 4.06, Agriculture Preservation District (AG-P); replacing existing Chapter 4.36 with a new Chapter 4.36 Wind Energy System (WES); all with the proposed changes; all adopted by Ordinance #302, as amended and replaced in Title 4 Zoning Ordinances of Brown County, South Dakota. Ordinance #302 – Wind Energy Systems (WES) was duly adopted by the Brown County Board of Commissioners on the 17th day of February, 2026 and that Ordinance #302, shall be in full force and effect on 9th day of March, 2026. (Copies of the full Ordinance are available at the Brown County Auditor’s Office or Brown County Planning and Zoning Office during regular business hours).
BE IT FURTHER ORDAINED by the Brown County Commission, Brown County, South Dakota that the zoning official for the County of Brown is hereby authorized to change the official zoning map for Brown County to reflect this Ordinance.
