BROWN COUNTY PLANNING & ZONING COMMISSION

NOTICE OF HEARING

 

Application has been made to the Brown County Planning/Zoning Commission for a VARIANCE PETITION. A hearing will be held in the Basement Community Room, Brown County Court House Annex on June 17, 2025, at 7:00 P.M.

 

Petitioner / Owner: Donald Young

 

Description of property:  Young’s Lot 1, “Hub City Livestock Second Addition” in the SW1/4 of Section 26-T124N-R64W of the 5th P.M., Brown County, South Dakota (2410 S 5th Street, Aberdeen Twp.).

 

Reason: A Variance for Approach Separation in a Heavy Industrial District (H-I) to be 175’ and 194’ from existing approaches rather than the 500’ required in Brown County Zoning Ordinances.

 

The public is invited to attend the hearing and to present comments and testimony regarding the proposed variance request.
