NOTICE OF HEARING
A PETITION to REZONE has been submitted to Brown County Planning/Zoning Commission. A hearing will be held in the Courthouse Annex in the Basement Community Meeting Room, on September 17, 2024, at 7:00 P.M.
Petitioners: City of Aberdeen and New Angus, LLC.
Description of property: proposed Lot 2, “New Angus Second Subdivision” in the N1/2 of Section 36-T123N-R64W of the 5th P.M., Brown County, South Dakota (Approximately 498 135th Street SE; Aberdeen Township).
Reason: Rezone proposed parcel from Heavy Industrial District (H-I) to Municipal State and County Use District (M) as requested by the city of Aberdeen.
The public is invited to attend the hearing and to present comments and testimony regarding the proposed rezone petition.
At the conclusion of the hearing, the Brown County Planning/Zoning Commission will forward their review and recommendation to the Board of County Commissioner’s that will then review on September 24, 2024, in Commission Chambers to set a publishing date.
