NOTICE OF HEARING
Application has been made to the Brown County Planning/Zoning Commission for a VARIANCE PETITION. A hearing will be held in the Basement Community Room, Brown County Courthouse Annex, on February 17, 2026, at 7:00 P.M.
Petitioner / Owner: Anders & Ellen Sarkinen
Description of property: Lot 1, “Keatts Eighth Subdivision to Richmond Lake” in the W1/2 of the NW1/4 of Section 23-T124N-R65W of the 5th P.M., Brown County, South Dakota (12705 Camdon Court, Ravinia Township).
Reason: Variance to Setbacks to allow the North (Front Yard) Setback of 80’ from the property line rather than the 100’ Setback required by Brown County Ordinance 4.0706 for an addition to the house and attached garage in a Mini-Agriculture District (MAG).
The public is invited to attend the hearing and to present comments and testimony regarding the proposed ordinance amendment.
