REQUEST FOR QUALIFICATIONS – AIRPORT ENGINEERING SERVICES
The City of Aberdeen, South Dakota, will accept statements of qualifications (SOQ) from qualified engineering firms for engineering services for proposed development on the Aberdeen Regional Airport, Aberdeen, South Dakota. SOQ’s will be accepted until Friday, February 21, 2025 at 9:00AM CST, and are to be submitted to: City of Aberdeen/Airport 123 South Lincoln Street, Aberdeen, South Dakota 57404. Please clearly mark Airport Engineering Services on the outside of the envelope. Please submit four (4) copies for the selection committee.
Engineering Services for the following projects listed on the CIP for a period of up to a maximum of five years from 2025 through 2029.
- Design and Construction Services for Terminal Renovations (2025)
- Assistance with Purchase of Pre-Conditioned Air Unit for Aircraft at the Jet Bridge
- Reconstruction of Terminal Access Road and Parking Lot (Phases I & II)
- SRE Building Expansion with Deice Equipment Pad and Electrical Vault Relocation
- Runway 17/35 and Taxiway C Pavement Maintenance (route/seal cracks/seal coat)
- ARFF Building Construction
- Terminal Remodel
Statements of Qualifications shall set forth the qualifications to accomplish engineering services for the period of the years 2025 through 2029 at the Aberdeen Regional Airport. Firms shall demonstrate their qualifications by addressing the questions contained in the “Consultant Selection Criteria”. Copies of the “Consultant Selection criteria” for this airport project can be obtained at City Hall in Aberdeen, South Dakota.
The selected firm is encouraged to obtain DBE engineering services or provide “Good Faith Effort” for this project.
Upon receipt of the Statement of Qualifications, the City of Aberdeen shall select the most qualified firm to perform the anticipated work. Selection will be performed in accordance with FAA Advisory Circular 150/5100-14E. Anticipated fees shall not be included in the SOQ, and each project will be negotiated with the selected firm following the selection period.
