NOTICE OF RESOLUTION NO. 25-09-02R
RESOLUTION TO APPROVE ADDITIONAL 2026 CAPITAL IMPROVEMENT
PLAN BREAKDOWN FOR STREETS AND BRIDGES AND APPROPRIATING
$200,000 FOR TWO-WAY MAIN STREET RECONSTRUCTION
WHEREAS, Aberdeen Home Rule Charter, Sec. 5.11 requires the City Manager to submit a five-year capital improvement program to be proposed no later than the final date for submission of the budget; and
WHEREAS, the City Manager has presented a 2026-2030 Capital Improvement Plan (hereafter “Capital Improvement Plan”) as required, with a public hearing being held on September 15, 2025, following published notice on August 21, 2025, stating the meeting time and place; and
WHEREAS, the City Council, after the public hearing, adopted the Capital Improvement Plan for 2026-2030 without amendment at Section 1 of Resolution No. 25-09-01R; and
WHEREAS, Section 2 of Resolution No. 25-09-01R adopted the 2026 Capital Improvement Plan Breakdown for Streets And Bridges and specifically reserved by separate resolution any capital improvement project expenditure in 2026 for major reconstruction for Two-Way Main Street as shown on pages 46 and 56 of the Capital Improvement Plan; and
WHEREAS, the City Council addresses separately by this Resolution the capital improvement project expenditure in the 2026 Capital Improvement Plan Breakdown for Streets And Bridges for major reconstruction for Two-Way Main Street.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the City Council approves the following additional capital improvement project expenditure for the 2026 Capital Improvement Plan Breakdown for Streets And Bridges, as shown on pages 46 and 56 of the Capital Improvement Plan, presented by the City Manager and proposed at the public hearing held on September 15, 2025, with the following amendment:
Two-Way Main Street (with two lanes only) $ 500,000 200,000
Undesignated $ 300,000
Total Additional Streets And Bridges Project $ 500,000
The foregoing Resolution was considered at a regular meeting of the City Council on the 22nd day of September, 2025, and upon Roll Call vote the Resolution was adopted.
