RESOLUTION TO DISSOLVE TAX INCREMENT FINANCING DISTRICT #8
AND ALLOCATE REMAINING FUNDS
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Aberdeen, South Dakota, on November 26, 2007, created by resolution Tax Increment Financing District Number 18 of the City of Aberdeen with boundaries designated as follows:
Brown County Addition, Southeast Quarter of Section 8,
Township 123 North, Range 63W, Brown County, South Dakota
WHEREAS, the creation of said Tax Increment District did significantly enhance the value of substantially all real property within the District and immediately adjacent thereto; and
WHEREAS, all debt obligations and project costs associated with Tax Increment Financing District Number 8 have been satisfied through the collection of tax increment revenues;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that Tax Increment Financing District Number 8 is hereby dissolved in accordance with South Dakota Codified Law (SDCL) 11-9-46, and that any monies remaining in the Special Fund shall be distributed as provided by SDCL 11-9-45.
The foregoing Resolution was considered at a regular meeting of the City Council on the 22nd day of June, 2026, and upon Roll Call vote the Resolution was adopted.
