AN ORDINANCE SUPPLEMENTING THE ANNUAL APPROPRIATION
AS MADE FOR THE YEAR 2025 TO APPROPRIATE FUNDS
FOR VARIOUS UNANTICIPATED PROJECTS AND ACTIVITIES
WHEREAS, there are insufficient appropriated funds in the Parks, Recreation, and Forestry Fund; for Parks expenses amounting to $56,400.00; for Recreation expenses amounting to $15,200.00; and for Mosquito Control expenses amounting to $2,500.00 to be made from said fund; and
WHEREAS, there are insufficient appropriated funds in the Parks and Recreation Capital Project Fund; for Capital Park expenses amounting to $120,000.00 to be made from said fund; and
WHEREAS, there are insufficient appropriated funds in the Parks and Recreation Enterprise Fund; for Enterprise Recreation expenses amounting to $3,000.00 to be made from said fund; and
WHEREAS, there are insufficient appropriated funds in the Parks and Recreation Gift Fund; for Parks donation reimbursement amounting to $5,200.00 to be made from said fund; and
WHEREAS, it would appear that there are fund monies that are unappropriated and unexpended: $177,300.00 in the Parks, Recreation and Forestry Gift Fund, $8,200 in Parks, Recreation and Forestry Fund, $7,800.00 in PRF Capital Projects Fund, and $9,000 in PRF Enterprise Fund that such monies can be used for said purposes.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF ABERDEEN AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. Appropriation. There is hereby appropriated from the unappropriated and unexpended balance in the following funds: $74,100.00 in the Parks, Recreation and Forestry fund; $120,000.00 in the Parks Capital Project fund; $3,000.00 in the PRF Enterprise Fund; and $5,200 in the PRF Gift Fund for the aforesaid purposes.
Section 2. Interfund Transfers. The Finance Officer is hereby authorized to make such amounts available for the purposes above and to carry out the interfund transfers set forth in Section 1.
Section 3. Ordinance Effective Date. This ordinance is necessary for the support of the municipal government and its existing institutions and shall take effect upon the passage and publication thereof, and is not subject to the referendum process.
