ORDINANCE NO. 24-12-06

AN ORDINANCE SUPPLEMENTING THE ANNUAL APPROPRIATION

AS MADE FOR THE YEAR 2024 TO APPROPRIATE FUNDS

FOR VARIOUS UNANTICIPATED PROJECTS AND ACTIVITIES

            WHEREAS, there are insufficient appropriated funds in the Parks, Recreation, and Forestry Fund; for Parks donation expenses amounting to $73,000.00; for Recreation donation expenses amounting to $13,600.00; and for Mosquito Control donation expenses amounting to $2,000.00 to be made from said fund; and

WHEREAS, there are insufficient appropriated funds in the Parks and Recreation Capital Project Fund; for Capital Wylie Park expenses amounting to $27,500.00 to be made from said fund; and

WHEREAS, there are insufficient appropriated funds in the Parks and Recreation Gift Fund; for Parks donation reimbursement amounting to $3,000.00 to be made from said fund; and

WHEREAS, it would appear that there are fund monies that are unappropriated and unexpended: $96,100.00 in the Parks, Recreation and Forestry Gift Fund; $20,000.00 in the Capital Project Fund; and $3,000.00 in Parks, Recreation and Forestry Fund and that such monies can be used for said purposes.

            NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF ABERDEEN AS FOLLOWS:

Section 1.        Appropriation.  There is hereby appropriated from the unappropriated and unexpended balance in the following funds: $88,600.00 in the Parks, Recreation and Forestry Fund; $27,500.00 in the Parks and Recreation Capital Project Fund; and $3,000.00 in the Parks and Recreation Gift fund for the aforesaid purposes.

Section 2.        Interfund Transfers.  The Finance Officer is hereby authorized to make such amounts available for the purposes above and to carry out the interfund transfers set forth in Section 1.
