ORDINANCE NO. 26-01-03

AN ORDINANCE SUPPLEMENTING THE ANNUAL APPROPRIATION

AS MADE FOR THE YEAR 2026 TO APPROPRIATE FUNDS

FOR VARIOUS UNANTICIPATED PROJECTS AND ACTIVITIES

WHEREAS, there are insufficient appropriated funds in the General Fund; for General Government for City Manager, Human Resources and Community Development amounting to $185,000, Public Safety for Police, Fire, and Building Inspection amounting to $7,000; For Public Works for Streets, Transit, and Cemetery amounting to $11,900; for Culture and Recreation for Library, Recreation, Senior Center, Parks, Wylie Park, and Forestry amounting to $40,300 to be made from said fund; and

WHEREAS, there are insufficient appropriated funds in the Promotion Fund; for Promotion and Administration amounting to $350,000, for Transfer Out amounting to $115,000 to be made from said fund; and

WHEREAS, there are insufficient appropriated funds in the Airport Fund; for Airport expenses amounting to $9,500 to be made from said fund; and

WHEREAS, there are insufficient appropriated funds in the Utility Storm Fund; for Utility Storm expenses amounting to $2,500 to be made from said fund; and

WHEREAS, there are insufficient appropriated funds in the Water Fund; for Water expenses amounting to $1,500 to be made from said fund; and

WHEREAS, there are insufficient appropriated funds in the Sewer Fund; for Sewer expenses amounting to $1,500 to be made from said fund; and

WHEREAS, there are insufficient appropriated funds in the Golf Fund; for Golf expenses amounting to $1,500 to be made from said fund; and

WHEREAS, it would appear that there are fund monies that are unappropriated and unexpended: $262,900 in the General Fund; $465,000 in the Promotion Fund; $9,500 in the Airport Fund; $2,500 in the Utility Storm Fund; $1,500 in the Water Fund; $1,500 in the Sewer Fund; $1,500 in the Golf Fund; that such monies can be used for said purposes.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF ABERDEEN AS FOLLOWS:

Section 1. Appropriation. There is hereby appropriated from the unappropriated and unexpended balance in the following funds: $262,900 in the General Fund; $465,000 in the Promotion Fund; $9,500 in the Airport Fund; $2,500 in the Utility Storm Fund; $1,500 in the Water Fund; $1,500 in the Sewer Fund; $1,500 in the Golf Fund; that such monies can be used for said purposes. for the aforesaid purposes.

Section 2. Interfund Transfers. The Finance Officer is hereby authorized to make such amounts available for the purposes above and to carry out the interfund transfers set forth in Section 1.

Section 3. Ordinance Effective Date. This ordinance is necessary for the support of the municipal government and its existing institutions and shall take effect upon the passage and publication thereof, and is not subject to the referendum process.
