NOTICE OF HEARING
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that a regular meeting of the City of Aberdeen Parks and Recreation Board, will be held on the 4th day of June, 2025, at 12:00 noon, in the Eagles Nest of the ARCC at 225 3rd Avenue SE, Aberdeen, South Dakota. The purpose of this meeting and the hearing thereon is to determine whether or not to expend a portion of the perpetual care trust fund to maintain Riverside Memorial Cemetery, such expenditures not to exceed the following itemized amounts:
Asphalt patching and chip sealing of cemetery roadways $ 20,000
Stone wall and pillar repair $ 75,000
Concrete repair at office $ 4,000
Topsoil/grass seed for leveling sunken graves $ 11,500
Tombstone Jack for monument leveling $ 4,500
Total $115,000
As required by SDCL 9-32-20.1, the sum remaining in such perpetual care trust fund may not be less than $50,000.
Any person having an interest in this matter may appear and be heard at which time the Parks and Recreation Board will discuss the issue and take action at the conclusion of the hearing regarding the expenditure of a portion of the perpetual care trust fund to maintain the municipal cemetery.
