RESOLUTION FOR ANNEXATION OF CERTAIN PROPERTY
INTO THE CITY LIMITS OF THE CITY OF ABERDEEN, SOUTH DAKOTA
BE IT RESOLVED, by the Aberdeen City Council, Aberdeen, Brown County, South Dakota, that the voluntary petition to annex the following described property filed by Brown County, is hereby granted and the following described property is hereby added to the municipal boundaries of the City of Aberdeen, South Dakota and shall be within the city limits of said City. Said property described as follows:
The Southwest Quarter (SW1/4) of Section 1, Township 123 North, Range 64 West of the 5th P.M., and Highway B, and Lot A, and Aberdeen Railroad Right-of-Way, except Fairground Outlot 1; and the Southwest Quarter (SW1/4) of the Southeast Quarter (SE1/4) of Section 1, Township 123 North, Range 64 West of the 5th P.M., and Lot 1, First Replat of Dahme Northview Addition in the Southeast Quarter (SE1/4) of Section 1, Township 123 North, Range 64 West of the 5th P.M.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED by the Aberdeen City Council, Brown County, Aberdeen, South Dakota, that the “Fairgrounds Annexation Agreement” executed by Brown County, the City of Aberdeen, and the Brown County Fair Board effective November 12, 2025, shall be expressly incorporated herein and adopted by reference.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED by the Aberdeen City Council, Brown County, Aberdeen, South Dakota, that the Mayor of the City of Aberdeen shall cause an accurate map of such territory together with a copy of this Resolution duly certified to be recorded in the Office of the Register of Deeds, Brown County, South Dakota.
