RESOLUTION CONTINUING DESIGNATION
OF OFFICIAL NEWSPAPER
WHEREAS, the City Council previously adopted Resolution No. 24-06-04R designating The Aberdeen Insider as an official newspaper of the City of Aberdeen, SD, for a twelve-month period beginning July 18, 2024; and
WHEREAS, the City of Aberdeen, South Dakota, is required to adopt by resolution one or more official newspapers for a period of time, not to be less than twelve months, as set forth at SDCL § 9-12-6; and
WHEREAS, The Aberdeen Insider, a legal newspaper in the City of Aberdeen, may be designated an official newspaper of the City of Aberdeen.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of Aberdeen, South Dakota, as follows:
1. The Aberdeen Insider shall be designated as an official newspaper of the City of Aberdeen, SD, for not less than twelve months beginning from the effective date of this Resolution, such designation to continue thereafter until terminated by the City of Aberdeen or such newspaper is no longer a legal newspaper.
2. The City of Aberdeen shall continue to publish in The Aberdeen Insider its official documents and public notices as required by law to be published.
The foregoing Resolution was considered at a regular meeting of the Aberdeen City Council on the 26th day of January 2026, and upon Roll Call vote the Resolution was adopted.
