CITY OF FREDERICK
SPECIAL MEETING MINUTES
AUGUST 10, 2026
A Special Meeting was held Monday, August 10 in the Frederick Community Center to discuss extending water services to the other side of the Maple River beginning at 7:00 PM. Attending the meeting were Chairman Scott Campbell, Board members Troy Millard and Marty Morlock, and Finance Officer Jennifer Morlock and Assistant Finance Officer Mariah Heine. Also attending the meeting were Taylor Sumption, Jeremy Hormann, Doug Braa, Mark Cutler, and Don Gunther.
Chairman Campbell opened the meeting and led in the Pledge of Allegiance.
The discussion included what the cost would be to get across the Maple split 4 ways between the city and 3 parties interested in getting water to the West side of the River. Sumption, Hormann, Cutler, and Braa discussed the cost to get across the river compared to the cost to engage with WEB water directly to get their water services. After much discussion, the city had decided that they would like to get water service across the river. The city will pay the cost to get water across the river and the cost of getting water from the baseball field to each building would be split between the remaining parties. The discussion ended with plans to get more concrete numbers before making final decisions.
Motion to adjourn made by Morlock/Campbell at 9:00 PM; motion carried.
M. Heine
Assistant Finance Officer
