WHEREAS, a special assessment roll, pursuant to the provisions of SDCL ch. 9-43, was filed in the office of the City Finance Officer of the City of Frederick, Brown County, South Dakota, on the 17th day of April, 2026, for abatement of public nuisances associated with noxious and unhealthy vegetation, accumulated garbage, junked cars, junk, trash, debris, and unsanitary property maintenance for property located at 506 2nd Avenue, Frederick, South Dakota 57441, with said special assessment being against the property listed; and
WHEREAS, said assessment roll showed as follows:

WHEREAS, a public hearing of the Frederick City Council of the City of Frederick, South Dakota was held to consider the adoption of the special assessment roll at a regular council meeting on June 3, 2026, at 7:00 pm in the Frederick Community Center, Council Chambers at 406 3rd Avenue, Frederick, South Dakota 57441 for abatement of public nuisances associated with noxious and unhealthy vegetation, accumulated garbage, junked cars, junk, trash, debris, and unsanitary property maintenance in the City of Frederick, SD. The assessments to be charged are based upon nuisance abatement within the City of Frederick, South Dakota, with notice of said hearing having been published in the Aberdeen Insider on May 7, 2026 and May 14, 2026;
WHEREAS the assessment roll was also filed in the office of the City Finance Officer on 17th day of April, 2026 and was open for public inspection at Frederick City Hall, Frederick, South Dakota during regular business hours for further information related to the special assessment roll;
WHEREAS no persons appeared before the City Council to object to and challenge the approval of the Special Assessment Roll and cause a levy to be assessed against the above-described property.
THEREFORE, the City of Frederick approved the Special Assessment Roll
and passed Resolution aoab-0I , dated June 3, 2026, enclosed with this Notice.
