ORDINANCE #2026-03
AN ORDINANCE REGARDING THE UPDATE OF TITLE 5 – HEALTH CODE, CHAPTER 5-4-1 LITTER OF STREETS TO THE REVISED ORDINANCES OF THE TOWN OF FREDERICK
The Frederick City Council will hold a public hearing on June 3, 2026 at 7 p.m. at the Frederick Community Center located at 406 3rd Ave, Frederick, SD. All interested persons are encouraged to attend in person and comment on the revision of Title 5 – Health Code, Chapter 5-4-1 Litter of Streets. After the public hearing, the City Council may have first reading of Ordinance #2026-03 by title and set a 2nd reading date.
The proposed Ordinance #2026-03 will read as such, Adding The depositing, placing, throwing, blowing, raking, or accumulation of leaves, grass or any other debris from private property, sidewalks, or driveways onto or across any street, alley, or sidewalk, as to impede the passage of vehicles upon a street or alley, the passage of pedestrians upon a sidewalk, or create an otherwise hazardous condition by a property owner, occupant agent, employee, or person effectuating lawn care services.
