A Colorado man received a predominantly suspended prison term on a charge involving sexual contact with a child who was 9 at the time.
Robert L. Maxwell, 63, Golden, Colo., pleaded guilty to sexual contact with a child younger than 16 for a February 2021 incident in Brown County. He was sentenced at the Brown county Courthouse to 15 years in prison with 12 years suspended and given credit for 127 days served. He was also fined $117.

According to court documents, this was a one-time occurrence with a low probability of recurrence.

- Kawliga Diserly, 35, Aberdeen, pleaded guilty to witness tampering for reaching out to the victim in a court case to see if the woman would drop the charges. He received a 10-year suspended prison term, was placed on probation for two years and was fined $917.
- Taylor A. Dziura, 25, Aberdeen, pleaded guilty to forgery for passing checks written on another person’s account. He received a five-year suspended prison sentence, was placed on probation for two years and was fined $1,117.
- Alan Sayer, 59, Aberdeen, pleaded guilty to possession of methamphetamine. He received a five-year suspended prison sentence and was ordered to pay $917.
- Robin J. Jalandra, 23, Sioux Falls, pleaded guilty to possession of 13.5 ounces of marijuana. According to court documents, the marijuana was found after police conducted a traffic stop and saw joints in the vehicle. He was sentenced to 60 days in jail, which can be served in Minnehaha County, placed on probation for two years and ordered to pay $1,117.
- Marcus W. Judd, 38, Aberdeen, pleaded guilty to third-offense driving under the influence. He was sentenced to 60 days in jail to be served on house arrest with work release and given credit for three days served. He was placed on probation for two years and ordered to pay $1,277.
- Kassie E Ringsaker, 30, Aberdeen, pleaded guilty to ingestion of methamphetamine. She was sentenced to 129 days in jail with credit for 37 days served and 90 days set aside for use by drug court. She was placed on probation for three years and ordered to pay $1,117.
