By The Aberdeen Insider’s 2024 general election coverage starts in earnest with this edition.
There have been election-related stories in the past, but the focus will be especially strong during October. Throughout the month, we will publish both online and in print previews of the local legislative races, most statewide races and all seven South Dakota ballot measures.
The deadline to submit election-related letters to the editor is noon Thursday, Oct. 31. That time is firm, and no letters received after then will be published. As a reminder, letters to the editor can be no more than 300 words. The Aberdeen Insider is under no obligation to accept, edit or publish letters that exceed that total, nor is there an obligation to transpose handwritten letters.
