
“Murder at Cafe Noir”: Aberdeen Community Theatre dinner theater continues with shows Sept. 28-29 at 6:30 p.m.; Oct. 2-7 at 6:30 p.m. and Oct 8 at 12:30 p.m. Guests will enjoy dinner on the theater stage in this performance that seeks participation from the audience in helping a private investigator solve a murder at the cafe. Wet plate demonstration by Shane Balkowitsch: 1 p.m. Friday, Sept. 29 at the Ellendale Historic Opera House in Ellendale, N.D. Learn about the wet plate process while Balkowitsch demonstrates. A lottery drawing of five people will get a wet plate photo taken and the original glass plate gifted to them. Balkowitsch has an exhibit at the Ellendale Opera House, 55 Main St., through Friday. Wet plate photography is an early form of photography using glass or metal plates that are submerged in silver nitrate then inserted into the camera. Due to construction in front of the building, visitors must access the opera house from the alley.
