SPECIAL BOARD OF EDUCATION MEETING
JULY 30, 2026
A special meeting of the Frederick Area Board of Education was called to order on July 30, 2026 at 5:58 p.m. by President Derik Bretsch. Members present were Rich Achen, Alex Hart, Troy Podoll and Rich Schlosser. Others present were Superintendent/Athletic Director Jeff Kosters, Principal Alexis Liknes and Business Manager Shauna Severson; Guests present were Wade Pogany, Joel Sumption, Steph Sumption and others via zoom.
The meeting began with all present reciting the Pledge of Allegiance.
2027-011 Motion by Schlosser, second by Podoll to approve the agenda as presented. All voted Aye. Motion carried.
No conflict of interest disclosures.
Advertising for open positions and open enrollment was discussed.
Gavel Training with Wade Pogany was held.
2027-012 Motion by Podoll, second by Hart to adjourn at 8:19 p.m. All voted Aye. Motion carried.
