SPECIAL BOARD OF EDUCATION MEETING
NOTICE OF NOVEMBER 24, 2025 MINUTES
A special meeting of the Frederick Area Board of Education was called to order on November 24, 2025 at 3:00 p.m. by President Rich Schlosser. Members present were Rich Achen, Jon Ellwein (via phone), Alex Hart and Eric Sumption. Others present were Superintendent/9-12 Principal/Athletic Director Jeff Kosters, Prek-8 Principal Jessica Ringgenberg and Business Manager Shauna Severson.
The meeting began with all present reciting the Pledge of Allegiance.
Motion 2026-052 Motion by Achen, second by Hart to approve the agenda as presented. All voted Aye. Motion carried.
No conflict of interest disclosures.
Motion 2026-053 Motion by Hart, second by Sumption to go into executive session at 3:01 p.m. for SDCL 1-25-2 (1) Personnel. All voted Aye. Motion carried.
Schlosser declared the board out of executive session at 3:42 p.m.
Motion 2026-054 Motion by Sumption, second by Achen to hire Dakota Ed Consulting to assist the district in its search for the K-12 Principal. All voted Aye. Motion carried.
Motion 2026-055 Motion by Hart, second by Sumption to adjourn at 3:43 p.m. All voted Aye. Motion carried.
