More than 16,000 pounds of food were gathered during the 2024 National Association of Letter Carriers Stamp Out Hunger Food Drive.
The 16,068 pounds is about 300 pounds more than last year, according to information from the United Way of Northeastern South Dakota.
Most of the food was collected and sorted on Saturday, May 11. Volunteers gathered at the post office to help with the undertaking.
The donations go to local food pantries.
