Notice is hereby given, that pursuant to SDCL 6-13 et al, the following described property will be offered for sale by sealed bid which sealed bids will be opened at the Groton Fire Station, 305 E. Railroad Avenue, Groton, SD 57445 on June 29, 2026 at 7:30 o’clock P.M.
This property has been approved for public sale by the Groton Area Fire Protection and Rescue District. Purchase price of the property shall be paid in full immediately upon notification to the successful bidder and a bill of sale will be issued to the successful bidder. Property offered for sale is as follows:
- One (1) 1987 Chevy C70 single axle fire truck with 427 CID engine, 5-speed transmission with 2-speed transfer, tires like new, approximately 9,850 miles, together with a 1988 Central States Apparatus including a 1,000 G.P.M. Darley pump, 454 Chevy pump engine, 1,000-gallon tank, stainless steel chassis mount with cab, and a 2,500-gallon drop tank with all attached, ladders, roof ladder, and roof ladder holder, all as one item.
The Fire Truck is currently located and available for viewing on Highway 12 in the parking lot of Hanlon Bros.. Items are sold as is with no guarantee of description, accuracy, running order, or condition.
Please return sealed bids to P.O Box 438, Groton South Dakota, 57445. Seller reserves the right to accept or reject any and all bids. Bids will be opened by the Groton Area Fire Protection and Rescue District Board.
