Hydrant flushing begins

Starting the afternoon of Tuesday, June 24, the Aberdeen Fire Department will be flow-testing fire hydrants.

Testing will be between South Fifth Street and South Washington Street from the railroad tracks and south to the city limits.

Testing will continue until all hydrants have been tested. Residents in this area will experience some water pressure changes and, in some instances, the water may be discolored or appear rusty, according to a news release from the Aberdeen Public Works Department.

Anyone with questions can call 605-626-7010.
