NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING TO ADOPT FY 2027 BUDGET
A public hearing will be held at the District Office in Huron, South Dakota, located at 251 4th Street SW, on September 10, 2026, at 9:30 A.M. to consider the proposed Water Development District budget for Fiscal Year 2027, beginning January 1, 2027.

Legal and Consultant: $20,000.00
Capital Outlay: $5,000.00
Project Assistance: $816,665.00
Contingency: $25,000.00
Balance for Long Term Debt/Cash Flow: $68,900.00
Total FY 2027 Appropriations: $1,270,500.00
Means of Finance:
Taxes (Except FY 2027 Levy): $500.00
Miscellaneous: $28,000.00

The purpose of holding this hearing is to provide the public with an opportunity to contribute to, and comment on, the Water Development District’s proposed operating budget for Fiscal Year 2027.
Persons interested in presenting data, opinions, and arguments for and against the proposed budget may appear, either in person or by representative, at the hearing and be heard and given an opportunity for a full and complete discussion of all items in the budget.
