North Central Special Education Coop – 8/26/24 Special Board Meeting

SPECIAL BOARD MEETING

August 26, 2024

Rix called the meeting to order at 7:03 p.m. The meeting was held via Zoom. Present: Grant Rix-Groton Area, Leah Haaland-Warner, Megan Clemensen-Northwestern Area, Toni Bukaske-Edmunds Central, and Krissa Sampson-Langford Area, Jeremy Bottum-Hitchcock-Tulare, Eric Sumption-Fredrick, and Samantha Kallas-Leola. Absent: Amy Hofer-Doland. Others present were Shad Storley, Director Becky Erickson, and Business Manager Becky Hubsch.

Moved by Bukaske, second by Sampson, to approve the agenda as written. Motion carried.

Pursuant to SDCL 23-3, no potential conflict disclosure was reported.

Members of the public are allowed five minutes to address the board on any topic of their choice.  With no public members present to speak, the board proceeded with their remaining agenda items.

Moved by Clemensen, second by Haaland, to approve subcontractor agreement with Prairie Heights Healthcare for speech services for the 2024- 2025 school year. Motion carried.

Moved by Bottum, second by Sampson, to approve subcontractor agreement with Stephanie Sorensen, School Psychologist, for 2024-2025 school year Motion carried.

Moved by Haaland, second by Clemensen, to approve an amended contract with Cathy Goethel, SLP, for the 2024-2025 school year for a 178-day contract at $68,832.46. Motion carried.

Moved by Sampson, second by Clemensen, to approve an amended contract with Susan Neiger, SLP, for the 2024-2025 school year for a 178-day contract at $64,500.00. Motion carried.

Moved by Bottum, second Bukaske to adjourn at 7:16 pm.  Motion carried.
