Six home games highlight the 2025 Northern State football schedule.
The Wolves, coming off a 6-5 campaign, will open the season on the road Saturday, Sept. 6 against the University of Sioux Falls.
Northern will then play back-to-back home games at Dacotah Bank Stadium beginning with Wayne State Saturday, Sept. 13 and followed by Concordia-St. Paul Saturday, Sept. 20. The game against the Golden Bears will be during homecoming week. Kickoff time has not yet been announced, though the game has traditionally been in the afternoon.

Schmidt
“It was absolutely imperative that we had six home games this season,” said Northern State head coach Mike Schmidt. “We drew the unlucky Week 11 bye the past two seasons that severely limited our options for a sixth home game. It was a top priority to play in Dacotah Bank Stadium with an extra game for our players and fans.”
The home schedule is rounded out by games against Minnesota-Duluth, Southwest Minnesota State, Minnesota State Moorhead and Minot State.
