Public meetings: City has variety of items on Monday’s agenda


Aberdeen City Council: 5:30 p.m. Monday, Dec 22 in the city council chambers at the Municipal Building, 123 S. Lincoln St. Agenda items include:

  • Second reading and final adoption of ordinances supplementing the 2025 budget for unanticipated expenses and Parks, Recreation and Forestry activities. 
  • Second reading of an ordinance setting fees and charges for 2026, which include increased utility rates.
  • Consider resolution authorizing an application seeking $16.198 million from the state Board of Agriculture and Natural Resources toward upgrades to the wastewater treatment plant.
  • Hear presentation from the Aberdeen Convention and Visitors Bureau.
  • New retail on-off sale malt beverage and farm wine license and new on-off sale wine and cider license for Pop’s Bayou Mamas LLC for Pop’s Big Easy.
  • Purchase and implementation of OpenGov budgeting and performance suite for 2026, 2027 and 2028.
  • Resolution authorizing transfer of contingency to other budget line items. 
  • Purchase 45 desktop computers and 24 laptops.
  • Consider well field lease agreement for 20 years,
  • Request to write off uncollectible ambulance accounts. 
  • Purchase of chevy silverado pickup.
  • USGS joint funding agreement.
  • Towing service agreements.
