He attended Java Public School, graduating with the Class of 1969. Ross continued his education at Denver Automotive and Diesel College. Ross then returned to the farm where he has lived since. Farming was Ross’s favorite activity and, as he put it, “I would like to leave the farm better than I found it”. He also rebuilt cars, being especially proud of his 1959 Triumph. Ross and his beloved dog, Izzy, spent many hours in the Ranger checking  livestock.
