By Some businesses and agencies will be closed Thursday, Nov 27 and/or Friday, Nov. 28 in observance of Thanksgiving.
Federal offices: Closed Thursday.
State, Brown County and Aberdeen city offices: Closed Thursday and Friday.
Garbage pick-up: Residents who normally have their garbage picked up Thursday should put garbage out for pick up by 7 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 26. Both Wednesday and Thursday’s garbage will be picked up on Wednesday.
Residents who normally have their garbage picked up Friday should have their garbage out for pickup by 7 a.m. on Monday, Dec. 1. Both Friday and Monday’s garbage will be picked up on Monday.
Recycling pick-up: Residents who usually have their recycling picked up on Thursday should have their recyclables out for pick up on Friday. Both Thursday and Friday’s recycling will be picked up on Friday.
Brown County Landfill: Closed on Thursday. Open 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Friday.
Aberdeen Catholic and Aberdeen Christian schools: Early release on Wednesday, no school Thursday or Friday.
Aberdeen public and Trinity Lutheran School: No school Wednesday, Thursday or Friday.
Northern State University: No classes Wednesday through Friday. Offices closed Thursday and Friday.
Aberdeen Senior Center: Closed Thursday and Friday.
Dacotah Prairie Museum: Closed Thursday. Open 11-4 p.m. Friday and Saturday.
K.O. Lee Aberdeen Public Library: Closed Thursday and Friday.
Aberdeen Insider: Will publish early and be mailed and on newsstands Wednesday, Nov. 26. The office is closed Thursday and Friday.
