PLANNING AND ZONING
JULY, 21, 2026 PROCEEDINGS
The Spink County Planning and Zoning Board met at 10:00 a.m. on July 21, 2026, at the Spink County Courthouse. Present were board members Dave Albrecht, Brian Johnson, Suzanne Smith, Brett Knox, and Kevin Siebrecht. Also present was Tracey Millar, DOE. See the Equalization Office for a list of guests present.
ADOPT AGENDA
Motion was made by Smith and seconded by Siebrecht to adopt the agenda. All members voted aye. Motion carried
MINUTES APPROVED
Motion was made by Smith and seconded by Knox to approve the minutes from the July 7, 2026, Planning and Zoning meeting. All members voted aye. Motion carried.
VARIANCE HEARING
Rob Duerkop is requesting a variance to build a 40×28 garage located at Original B-5, Lots W 15’ of N1/2 & S1/2 of 10 & all 11-15 Frankfort SD, that will be right next to the road right of way which is closer than allowed by the Spink County Ordinance. Mr. Duerkop was present for questions. There was no correspondence opposing the proposed project and no public comments for or against the project. A motion to approve the project was made by Albrecht and seconded by Knox. All members voted aye, motion carried.
CONDITIONAL USE PERMIT (CUP)
A motion was made by Knox to remove the Table from the May 19, 2026 hearing and seconded by Siebrecht. All members voted aye, motion carried. Sam Domke with Tulare Sportsman Club LLC is requesting a CUP to build a trap range for high school trap teams located at Tulare Sportsman Club Addition in SE1/4 34-115-64. Sam was available for questions. No correspondence opposing the proposed project was received. There were some public comments in favor of the proposed project, no public comments opposing the project. A motion to approve the proposed project was made by Knox and seconded by Siebrecht. All members voted aye, motion carried.

The Planning and Zoning Board adjourned at 10:55am by Brian Johnson.
