PLANNING AND ZONING
NOTICE OF 8/5/25 UNAPPROVED MINUTES
The Spink County Planning and Zoning Board met at 10:00 a.m., August 5, 2025, at the Spink County Courthouse. Present were board members Dave Albrecht, Brian Johnson, Brett Knox, Suzanne Smith, and Kevin Siebrecht. Also, present Tracey Millar, DOE. See a list of guests present at the Equalization Office.
ADOPT AGENDA
Motion was made by Suzanne Smith, seconded by Brett Knox, to adopt the agenda. All members voted aye. Motion carried.
MINUTES APPROVED
Motion was made by Suzanne Smith, seconded by Brett Knox, to approve the minutes from the June 17, 2025, Planning and Zoning meeting. All members voted aye. Motion carried.
CONDITIONAL USE PERMIT
A Conditional Use Permit (CUP) hearing was held for Sheila Akin Roeber to install camper pads & hookups for possible commercial use. Sheila Akin Roeber was present for questions. A few guests present spoke against the CUP. Motion was made by Suzanne Smith, seconded by Dave Albrecht to deny the CUP due to lack of information on sewer, water, electricity, and a possible approach. All members voted aye. Motion carried.
VARIANCE HEARING
A Variance hearing was held for Gordon Iverson to relocate an existing building closer to the property line than allowed by Spink County Ordinance 17.0706. Gordon Iverson was present for any questions. Motion was made by Brett Knox and seconded by Suzanne Smith to approve the variance to relocate an existing building ten feet (10) closer to the property line than allowed by Spink County Ordinance 17.0706. All members voted aye. Motion carried.
ADJOURNMENT
Adjourned as Planning and Zoning Board at 10:48 a.m. Motion was made by Kevin Siebrecht, seconded by Brett Knox. All members voted aye. Motion carried.
