PLANNING AND ZONING PROCEEDINGS
NOTICE OF 9/16/25 UNAPPROVED MINUTES
REDFIELD, SOUTH DAKOTA
The Spink County Planning and Zoning Board met at 10:00 a.m., September 16, 2025, at the Spink County Courthouse. Present were board members Dave Albrecht, Brian Johnson, Brett Knox, Suzanne Smith, and Kevin Siebrecht. Also, present Kristi Hausvik, Zoning Administrator. See a list of guests present at the Equalization Office.
ADOPT AGENDA
Motion was made by Suzanne Smith, seconded by Kevin Siebrecht, to adopt the agenda. All members voted aye. Motion carried.
MINUTES APPROVED
Motion was made by Suzanne Smith, seconded by Kevin Siebrecht to approve the minutes from the August 19, 2025, Planning and Zoning meeting. All members voted aye. Motion carried.
Motion was made by Suzanne Smith, seconded by Kevin Siebrecht to approve the minutes from the September 2, 2025, Planning and Zoning meeting. All members voted aye. Motion carried.
REZONING HEARING
A rezoning hearing was held for Tanner Binger to be rezoned from Ag land to Commercial so he can build and sell homes on his property. Tanner Binger was present for questions. Motion was made by Kevin Siebrecht and seconded by Brett Knox to approve rezoning from Ag land to Commercial, Ordinance 17.10 where Tanner will build and sell homes.
REVIEW NEW ZONING ORDINANCES
Discussions were held regarding Data Processing Center ordinances. A hearing to proceed to the recommendation phase for proposed Ordinance 17.30 Data Processing Centers is scheduled for the next Commissioners’ meeting, October 7, 2025. Motion was made by Brett Knox, seconded by Suzanne Smith to proceed to the recommendation phase. All members voted aye. Motion carried.

Adjourned as Planning and Zoning Board at 10:58 a.m. Motion was made by Kevin Siebrecht, seconded by Suzanne Smith. All members voted aye. Motion carried.
