Northern State struggled to find offensive consistency and fell to Jamestown University 79-64 in men’s basketball action Saturday, Nov. 23 in Jamestown, N.D.
The Jimmies gradually built a lead throughout the first half, pushing the margin to 16 when a Jimmy Llinas bucket made it 35-19 with 1:58 left before the break.

NSU hung around most of the second half as a Kwat Abdelkarim three-pointer trimmed the lead to 58-52 with 8:23 to play, but would get no closer. Jamestown controlled play down the stretch and two free throws by Owen Hektner made it 75-60 with 1:25 left.
The Jimmies had three players score at least 16 points. Silas Bennion tallied 19, Llinas 18 and Hektner 16.
Abdelkarim and Tobi Obiora both netted 18 to pace the Wolves, who shot 41.7% for the game and just 20% from three-point range.
Northern (1-4) opens Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference play against the University of Mary on Tuesday, Nov. 26 at the Barnett Center.
