Winter weather this week has led to events being rescheduled, postponed or canceled. A list has been started below and will be updated as information becomes available. Aberdeen cancellations and postponements can be sent to news@aberdeeninsider.com.
- The Brown County Courthouse will be closed Thursday, Feb. 23.
- The Salvation Army will be closed Thursday, Feb. 23.
- Aberdeen Day at the South Dakota Legislature, planned for Thursday Feb. 23, has been canceled.
- The Brown County Planning and Zoning/Board of Adjustment meeting scheduled for Tuesday, Feb. 21, has been rescheduled to Tuesday, Feb. 28 at 7 p.m.
- The Aberdeen University/Civic Symphony concert featuring The Texas Tenors, which was scheduled for Friday, Feb. 25, has been postponed until March 21.
- State offices in most of eastern South Dakota, including Brown County, are closed Wednesday, Feb. 22 and will remain closed until noon on Thursday, Feb. 23.
- The Odde Ice Arena and outdoor rinks are also closed for recreational skating.
- The K.O. Lee Aberdeen Public Library is closed Thursday, Feb. 23.
- Aberdeen Recreation and Cultural Center programs have been cancelled on Thursday, Feb. 23. The YAPAtorium is also closed. There is also no open gym and the Odde Ice Arena and outdoor skating rinks are closed for recreational skating. There is also no city league basketball or volleyball.
- The second day of Valentine Bistro at Central High School has been rescheduled to Monday, Feb. 27 at 7 p.m.
