It’s pheasant hunting time again which means pheasant sandwich time again.
Over 500,000 WWII troops were served free pheasant sandwiches on their railroad journey across the country. It’s a famous story that most have heard about. But, the generosity and response of this community is unmatched, with a spirit that still lives on today. This video was made for an exhibit that used to be in the Milwaukee Depot on the corner of Railroad Avenue and Main Street.
