Memorial services for Kenneth D. Pullman will be held at a later time in the spring. Services at Spitzer-Miller Funeral Home will be announced when scheduled. Burial will be at the Bethel Church Cemetery, near Huron, SD. Kenneth died at home Monday, January 22, 2024.
Kenneth D. Pullman was born December 7, 1932 to John & Adina (Glanzer) Pullman at Huron, SD. He grew up on the family farm northeast of Huron. Kenneth attended a Beadle County one-room country school. and graduated from Yale High School. He received his bachelor’s degree from Huron College and master’s degree from Northern State College.
He married Shirley Noe at Bethel Church near Huron in 1953. They made their home in Huron until 1966 when the family moved to Faulkton. Ken and Shirley both taught in the high school there. In 1969 they moved to Aberdeen where he was a school counselor until retirement. Kenneth enjoyed traveling with Shirley. They also liked to fish and go camping with their family. Kenneth enjoyed riding his motorcycle, snowmobiling and following the Northern State University Wolves.
Kenneth is a past member of Bethel Church and had currently been a member of the New Life Fellowship Church. He was baptized in the James River near Huron as a teenager.
Grateful for having shared Kenneth’s life are his sons, Gary John (Mary Jo) Pullman and Douglas Alan Pullman; grandchildren, Randi (Dwight) Yancey and John Pullman; great-grandsons, Bryce & Mason; and brother, Wendell (Janice) Pullman.
Preceding Kenneth in death are his wife, Shirley Pullman; and parents John and Adina Pullman.
