The downtown concert set for Thursday, June 22 has been canceled because of rain that’s expected to continue through the day and a significant chance of lightning tonight.
Flannel, which plays ’90s throwback music, was scheduled to play.
Alexa Sheldon, executive director of the Aberdeen Downtown Association, said a September makeup date is being sought.
The next downtown concert is July 27 and will feature the Chad Cooke Band. Gates open at 6 p.m. and music starts at 7 p.m. Admission is free.
The Thursday, July 22 performance of the municipal band at Melgaard Park has also been canceled, according to a news release from the Aberdeen, Parks, Recreation and Forestry Department.
