Prairie Arabesque is the first sculpture to be installed downtown. Completed by Steve Bormes, the idea was inspired by Avett Wigdahl, who Bormes met during Wigdahl’s frequent trips to Sioux Falls for medical care. Made from pieces of agriculture equipment, the sculpture is also a nod to the farming community and the local dancing culture in the Aberdeen area. Aberdeen Insider photo by Elisa Sand
