Verbal threat at Simmons investigated, determined to be unfounded


A report of a verbal threat at Simmons Middle School the morning of Wednesday, April 3 was investigated and determined to be unfounded, according to a call from the Aberdeen Public School District to parents.

The threat was reported to school officials before classes started, according to a recorded message from Principal Colleen Murley around 8:30 a.m.

According to the message, the verbal threat was investigated by the Aberdeen Police Department and determined to be unsubstantiated.
